THURSDAY

Met Diane at our usual place near the library and settled in for lunch and conversation. That ranged far and wide, as usual and, at one point, including the homeless. Diane insisted they were each and every, one hundred percent drug addicts and should be rounded up and sent--involuntarily--to some isolated place where they wouldn't annoy the upright citizens. We disagreed pretty vehemently on this possible, but parted as friends.

After we said goodbye, I stopped into the library and--I can't help myself!--and bought three more books. I now have seven I haven't read yet, but I dove into some shortly. Walked home and just futzed around with this and that, then checked Facebook...

...oh, no! Ellen posted that her cat, Gwennie, has not bee.  home since Monday. Unfortunately, she still hasn't and as of yesterday, Thursday, she had been three days. We're all hoping against hope she gets in, but sadly, as time goes on, it seems less likely. 

My sleeping pattern is persisted, it seems, for better or worse: I go to bed between 9:30 and 10, wake up for the usual about 3:00, then lie awake for another hour, finally getting up at 6:15 or close to it. Guess I can live with that.
