An okay, although not very interesting, day. I did a few household chores after breakfast, then packed up my lunch and walked first to the bank to pick up some check registers. I rarely use checks anymore--or cash, for that matter--almost always I use a debit card, but I record those, then check them off after I go on-line to my bank account. Stopped after at Ralph's, as I wanted to pick up some Purple Tears, the IPA I liked so much at the Paradise Cove. It turned out they didn't have any, but the woman in the office was very nice and took my name and number, saying she'd call me when some came in.
After, I went to my usual place when I'm in that area, the small park with the fountain in front of Ralph's. Started eating my sandwich and fell into conversation with a young man named Kyle. He had an interesting background, to say the least, and I enjoyed talking to him. He makes jewelry and before he left, I was surprised and pleased when he gave me this pretty purple pendant:
Home, I did some stuff on this laptop, went out to get the mail, then washed, cored, and seasoned the six big apples I had bought, and popped them in the oven. After, I sat down her to play Jewel Match Royale, my favorite game. The big news is that I slept well last night--happy day, because it's been the opposite for far too long.
