I fervently hope these down days aren't a constant trend, but they seem to be continuing. I'm still grappling with that supposed $86 overdue bill and the drop in my credit rating. After being on the phone continually with no useful information, I filed a dispute with Experian. I got back a lot of crapola, and as for phone calls, they included Experian, Chase, Chase Credit Journey, Transunion, Solar Services Experts, and maybe more. At this point, I''m ready to give up--I'd actually pay the fraudulent charge if I knew where to send it. Incredibly, I haven't yet found that out.
Several weeks ago, I had scheduled the carpet cleaners to come today, but I just couldn't face trying to prepare for them--I don't even sure how--so I called and put it off for two weeks. Hope I can get it done by the 23rd.
At 11;00, I set out for lunch at the Stone Fire Grille with the Soaring Spirits crew, but I never even went out the gate. It was very hot and I didn't feel like walking to Telephone Road, then bussing to the Barnes & Nobel shopping center, then reversing the trip. So I went back home, packed my lunch, and took it out to the middle to eat. I then lay down and took a nap.
I was a little refreshed after that and went over to CVS for Vision Shields. I couldn't believe they cost $31.00 so I'll see if I can get them cheaper on-line. I had perked up a bit until I got the mail--the Easter card I had sent Violet on--get this--April 10th--was returned yesterday. Hey, it took only a day more than five months and I suspect it was because of the ever less efficient U.S. Mail.

Rosemary, I totally empathize with you. And the worst part is there isn’t much we can do about it. I have several similar experiences and they are taking way too much of my time. I don’t remember settling disputes in person before technology was supposed to make things go faster….for whom? In fact, I don’t remember so many disputes when a live person handled things. And now AI…. Your friend in AC
