Did a bleach wash in the morning and darn--I was wearing my light blue top when I put it in the dryer. Somehow during the transition, I got bleach on the bottom of my sleeve, so now it's not wearable unless I put something else over it. Oh, well, it wasn't a particular favorite, anyway.
I spent a lot of time typing up my script so I have more than one copy. But Mimi, why not just duplicate the other one? Because the damn printer is acting up again, that's why. I called Ellen, who suggested I send it to her, she'll copy, then give it to me on Monday, when we head to L.A.
Packed my lunch and went outside to wait for Uber. I was picked up at quarter of two, which meant I was pretty early for my 2:30 eye doctor appointment. Miramar, where I go, is a very busy place and I didn't get in until after 3:00. However, it went okay; SCAN will cover five hundred or something of the cost, and my part is only $127.00.
Walked from there to the mall, not more than a mile or so, and ate my lunch in the center. Stopped at Target on my way out for grapefruit and stuff. Home about 5:00, got Suzanne's and my mail, then settled down to go over my lines.
Rehearsal today at 6:00.
WIDER: Having, in a modest way, spent 27 years in academia, the following by Chris Hedges caught my attention:

What kind of world have we become?
