Did a white wash before breakfast, ate, then did some business/computer stuff. Called SCAN Transportation to get a ride to my eye doctor appointment today. As always, I turned down a return trip, as I want to stop at HEARX after, then I'll walk to the bus stop.
Packed a lunch and took off for town. I'm very annoyed over the fact that the town council, in its infinite wisdom, has degreed that the walk-only Main Street ordinance will be rescinded. I guess I can understand it, though, because the small businesses are losing in the process. Bought a purse, a blouse, and a sun hat, and greatly enjoyed being in town again. Ate a leisurely lunch in my place opposite the museum, then bused home.
When I got in, I made a turkey stir-fry, saved out a third for dinner, and stowed the rest in the freezer. I then went out to get my and Suzanne's mail and ran into Leah (upstairs neighbor) coming home. We had a nice chat, talking over the circumstances of being a thirty-year old working in the coroner's office. She also said anytime I need a ride anywhere or any other help, to please call her---what a sweetheart. Leah expressed interest in my upcoming show and also said she'd like to have me for breakfast...HA! I just realized what I wrote--funny!
Sharon called, poor thing. Lewis took another written test--results aren't in yet--and now needs to do the driving test itself. Since he can't drive yet--if ever--Sharon can't get to T.O.P.S. She sounded so down-hearted and I feel so sorry for her. I'll tell the other T.O.P.S. members this morning.
Speaking of--I'm not looking forward to weighing in, as I know I've gained and probably quite a bit. Okay, I'd better buckle down and serious--it's about time!
Slept well and leg seems to be completely well.
