Another full day. The SCAN Transportation Uber took me to the dentist for my 10:30 appointment, got my teeth cleaned, and Ellen picked me up after. We then went to Primary Medical, so El could get authorization for handicapped parking authorization from the DMV. From there, we went to College Pharmacy, which has a variety of walkers and I tried and tested several. I like some better than others, but still want to look around.
Then El wanted to go to the new place, "Home Goods," where El got a lovely quilt for her new bedstead (which was delivered recently). Happy day, we stopped for lunch at our favorite Wood Ranch, and finally, topped off our activities at Von's, so I could get supplies, and CVS, to pick up my medication. Got back to my place, about 3:30.
As scheduled, we Facetimed with another family member to discuss my options for the future. Talked a long time and what we came up with--it actually was my suggestion--was a kind of companion/helper/driver to come in a few times a week. I'm going to be contacting the Agency on Aging, as well as friends and acquaintances, to get some input. At this point, things are tentative, as to the days, hours, and compensation; I'm going to be working on that with help from my two advisors.
El left after that, but will pick me up on Saturday and I'll stay over Sunday at her place. That will bo great fun and I can't wait see the renovations.
Noreen called and we had a long talk. She's been feeling down lately, unfortunately, but will pick me up for lunch when we're both available.
