FRIDAY

T.O.P.S.: I was sure I had gained, considering I went out for lunch or dinner the last five days, but no--I actually lost. It was miniscule, but I was down .02 (to 128.4) at home and .03 (to 129.1) at the meeting--still a little too cost to 130, but okay. There were only four of us, besides Cheryl and me, the other constants, Lennie and Sharon. Cheryl proposed that we take from a suggestion to record our progress--or lack thereof--on a page from T.O.P.S. magazine, which features little fish. Cute idea and we'll do it.

Home about 10:00, had breakfast and annoyingly, I seem to have developed a sore throat. Took some meds, had breakfast, then took a brief nap. Did a few household chores, then walked to the P.O. to mail my ex-DIL some mail. I had packed my lunch, so went from there to the middle of the complex and ate it, while continue to read the nefarious exploits of the Kennedys, Joe and Jack.

Made an appointment with Motor Vehicle to get a new I.D., as I somehow lost my other one. Tried to reach T.O.P.S. headquarters so I could renew my membership by paying on-line, but I never got them. guess I'll just send a check.

Son Mike Facetimed me at 6:00 and we had a good talk. He'll be leaving, once again, for China shortly. This time, he'll go to Shanghai, a place I've always wanted to see. I said hello to darling Violet and Snickerdoodle, who screeched me a greeting (that cat has the weirdest meow I've ever heard--sounds like a rusty hinge or something).

I called Noreen and we made a lunch date for today at Dargan's. My sore throat seems to have eased, I'm glad to say. I just realized that Jim's birthday is on Tuesday. Ellen and I had talked about going to see him then; I'll see if she still wants to do that.

FRIDAY--I'M IN AND SO IS THE GESTOPO

Hey, I gotta say, it wasn't a bad day. Home, I had lost 1.2  (to 129.4) and at T.O.P.S., I was down 1.1 to 130.2. Incredibly, I was the ...
