THURSDAY

I finally got out yesterday, but didn't go far. I just strolled over to Von's for Sumo oranges, which seem to have replaced grapefruit in my affections. They were on sale and I bought six of the jumbos--juicy, sweet, easy-to-peel, and yummy-yum-yum. Also got four large apples, a nice cabbage, plant milk, and more. Home, I trimmed and sliced the cabbage, found a kind of brown sauce in the freezer (I think Suzanne gave it to me), mixed it with a little water, and poured it on the cabbage. Washed and cored the apples, added Stevia and cinnamon, and popped them in the oven.

Other than that, I spend an inordinate amount of time still pulling together m income tax information. I'm just about finished, but have to fill out the sheets accountant Michelle gave me, then send or take it to her.

Ellen called and we had a long talk. She brought me up to date on the repairs to her house and finally, she seem close to being finished--the roof and painting, that is. She also has had some plumbing problems with her guest bathroom and the plumber was there several times.

Lorrain called and recited her usual list of complaints against this, that, and the other person, including her doctor. I'm beginning to wonder if she actually makes all this up, or what. Anyway, she tends to simply keep talking, right over whatever I try to say in response; no wonder her husband travels so much.

Oh, boy, would I love to go to this:  Maybe I'll see if I can arrange it.
