Down a tad (.02) to 127.2 at home and a tad more at T.O.P.S. (.07) to 128. Meeting was so-so, consisting of each of us reading a paragraph of the current T.O.P.S. magazine. Sharon was wearing a pair of her exotic earrings and I couldn't resist a picture:
After Cheryl dropped me off, I rushed to change, have breakfast, make my lunch, then head out on Hill Street via the overpass to meet Diane. We mostly had a good talk, and I refrained from too much skepticism when she started on near-death experiences--so many people have had them, she insists. (It reminds of what H.L. Mencken wrote about another experience: something like "Most people wouldn't fall in love if they hadn't heard about it.") However, we had an enjoyable time and were there--our usual--for close to three hours.
After, I walked to Victoria Avenue, then bused to the post office. Mailed Violet's litttle shamrock neckless ($19.82--I must be nuts) and Vivian's music box, stopped at Von's for shrimp tempura, then walked home. Had a little snack of rice cakes and frozen banana, then sliced up the pound of strawberries I had bought, separated them into two containers, and stowed them in the freezer.
Mike face-timed me last night and we had a talk. He and Vivian may possibly be able to join us for Thanksgiving--not sure. He said Violet is enjoying the pretzels and he sent a video, but I couldn't get it to copy, except as a still. Here she is, the little darling, and she's saying "Thank you, Nana.":
