MONDAY

This is partly a tale of woe, at least the first part of the day. To begin with, I'm having problems with this laptop, or the Internet, or both. When I try to pull up sites, it takes a very long time for them to appear; I just get the grinding signal for minutes at a time. Finally finished, I got ready to go to Soaring Spirits dinner. There are two different ways I can get to the Stone Fire Grille: either walk or bus to Telephone Road, then take the 11 or take any bus to the transit center and take the 11 from there. There were seven of us and we had, as ever, a good time--lots of laughs and lots of serious talk, as well as just the cozy feeling of long-time friends enjoying each other's company.  Vera left a little early, so Susan took me home.
