SATURDAY

Mike Facetimed me while he was taking his morning five-mile jog. He'll be here--oh joy!--the day after tomorrow and Vivian (I think) on Wednesday. So glad he'll be here on December 5 for his birthday, too. But, darn, he Messaged me a video of the jogging trail with several monkeys running across his path. I wanted to add it here, but can't seem to get it to transfer.

About 10:00 am, I found my new walker from Medicare at my door. Called Ellen to let her know and I was thrilled to hear Greg would be in Ventura about six and would stop in to assemble it. Whew--just to take off the outer cardboard box was a twenty-minute chore for me:

I took a nap, tidied up a bit, then ate my lunch on the patio. After all the rain, it had turned beautifully warm and sunny. My so-called "exercise" of the day? I delivered my two sets of trash (recyclable and not) to the place and got the mail--so exciting, right?

Greg did, indeed, come about six and that great guy put the walker together. It was in so many pieces, I'd still be working on it. As ever, I enjoyed his company and am looking forward to seeing him on Thanksgiving and, I hope, his birthday, which is on December 7. Yes, that's Pearl Harbor day and, incredibly, I remember it.

Looks like the perfect rollator. Make sure you use it correctly. So many people here push it ahead of them…doesn’t help much that way. Stand close to it. The idea of a seat and a place to store things is so useful. Enjoy! /PMR from AC

It is, Pat, but I'll miss being about to take my cart to the store and get supplies. Under the seat holds just my purse--certain not a six-pack of IPAs!
