SUNDAY

A quiet, but pleasant day. Had breakfast, then the crossword (Frank Longo's, to which I look forward all week), which was absorbing and I got all but one. After, I cut back both the regular and the ivy geraniums. I tried to tie them up, but couldn't do it by myself, so will ask Ellen when she's here tomorrow.

Decided to start looking for outdoor shelving for the garden. I have one out there, but it's getting shabby and also, I want a kind of cabinet to store my plant holders and so on. Going out, I ran into Suzanne coming in and we chatted for fifteen or so. Left for the bus and while I was waiting at the stop, Rosa D. called. I was pleased to hear from her and hope we can make a lunch date for next week.

Got off to stop at the library and took two books out. As I was leaving, brother Larry called and we talked for a bit--nothing too much new there. I stopped in a few stores, but didn't see anything enticing, but it was enjoyable. I expected Main Street to be busier than it was, considering the gorgeous weather, sunny and 75, with no humidity to speak of. Happily, the strong winds had subsided, too. Ate my lunch across from the mission, as usual, strolled around, then bused home.
